In March 2020 the County Board directed the County Manager to develop a plan for improving the bicycle network in Crystal City within the next four years, by Dec. 31, 2024.
After analysis of several alternatives, County staff developed a recommendation for a pair of one-way north/south bicycle facilities, along with improvements to east/west streets. We held a public meeting on February 24 and shared the recommended network for your review and comment. The accompanying online feedback form was open until March 21, 2021.
Using the feedback we received in the first round of public engagement, we made updates to the Recommended Crystal City Bike Network. Now, we're asking for your feedback on the revised network as we finalize a Preferred Alternative to advance for design and construction.
The feedback period for this phase will be open until July 9, 2021.
